Regional Fulfilment Centre Fire Detection System Project Works @ Lutterworth, Leicestershire

Within only a few weeks notice of receiving our purchase order the 1st 4 Fire & Security team were mobilised and on site carrying out the installation of the fire detection system at this mammoth 746,000 Sqft regional fulfilment centre for our prestigious and valued client. Works involved the supply, installation and commission of a brand new addressable fire detection system throughout the site with multiple aspirating smoke detection control panels (ASD) and numerous third party system integrations, a project that was immensely tight on deadline but nonetheless a project that was thoroughly enjoyed by all the team!

Being one of the biggest projects we have completed to date the huge challenges faced with this project were made even more difficult with equipment shortages and component issues faced in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic during the summer of 2021 onwards. The sheer scale of this project along with the multitude of system integrations meant that once the project was handed over both on time and within budget the team could finally relax just in time for Christmas having earned every second of it - A project that we now not only continue to maintain and support but a project that will sit as one of our most proud achievement's to date

Summary of works completed:

- Addressable 5 panel Networked Advanced Fire Detection System installation throughout main warehouse and offices including Hubs and outbuildings

- A 34 panel VESDA air sampling system installation inclusive of over 10,000 metres of ASD pipework

- Multiple 3rd party system integration works carried out including building management systems shutdown (BMS) and conveyor systems to name but a few

- On site support services throughout contracted works and liaison with other services during weekly review attendance meetings ensuring that our works were completed 2 weeks prior to client handover
